Professor Joshua Godwin, LLB(Hons), MPHIL, PGDipl, DipMedSci , FRSPH, ILTM, FHEA, PhD Studies in Medicine - Professor Joshua Godwin is a Professor of Medical Law and Ethics, and he has backgrounds in law, medical education and medical research. His expertise in medical law, ethics and medical education has led to the development of various teaching and learning models in these areas at various medical schools, universities, colleges and organisations internationally.
Professor Joshua Godwin has studies and worked in many prestigious medical schools in the United kingdom, including Guys, Kings and St Thomas’ School of Medicine and Dentistry, St Bartholomew and The Royal London Hospitals School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London and other medical academies and colleges in the UK and internationally. He has also worked in medical research in the Division of Medicine, Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology and internal medicine at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, UK, where he has undertaken various projects including development of electronic patients’ records.
Professor Godwin also has professional interests in manmade diseases, social policy, social welfare, public administration, electronic patients’ records system including community-based education and research, and medical and healthcare education. He had also designed many systems on these matters globally.
He has published materials on medical education, public health medicine, epidemiology, gastroenterology, medical law, medico-legal issues and social medicine.
His special interests in electronic patients’ records and informatics has led to many projects in these subjects and produced many research activities and publications in these areas.
