Professor Dr Krasimir Stoyanov Vizev, MD, PhD, DSc - Acquired a Master's Degree in Medicine in 1988 at the Medical Academy in Sofia. Since 2010 he has been Associate Professor and Head of Department of Preventive Medicine, PhD, Mеdical University - Sofia.
In 2013 he was elected as Vice Dean, and in 2014 he was awarded the academic position "Professor". In 2006 he obtained a Ph.D. after successful defense of dissertation thesis on "The Biological Age" and a DSc - "Socio-health aspects of premature aging and its prophylaxis". National consultant in Geriatric medicine and social gerontology and with recognised specialties: "Internal diseases", "Endocrinology and metabolism diseases", "Social medicine and health management".
He has gone through a number of qualification courses and specializations in various European and world academic research bases, including the WHO International Institute of Aging, WHO, United Nations Malta ; by British Consul in the United Kingdom, under the aegis of the United Nations; "Clinical Epidemiology" - Erasmus University; Teaches students - masters and bachelors; undergraduate courses, and Erasmus foreign students, a scientific supervisor of PhD students and over 60 graduates.
Professor Vizev is the author and co-author of several monographs, more than 150 scientific publications with multiple citations (more than 250), curricula and researcher in 5 scientific projects, participation in numerous national and world academic forums. He is also the winner of several awards. Scientific Secretary Scientific Research Center of Medicine of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
Professor Vizev is a member of more than 14 national, international and world scientific organisations. He is also a member of editorial boards of prestigious scientific journals. He further participates in expert committees, and speaks three foreign languages.
